Bow Hunting Elk In Colorado!

Spectacular Bow Hunting For Elk In The Mountains Of Colorado!

Incredible scenery, but not as warm as maybe they would have liked. But the bow hunting will make up for the uncomfortable night. Crisp cool mornings, elk bugling , the musky smell of an elk wallow. All this coupled with the excitement of close encounters with one of natures most intense big game animals, makes for an exhilarating hunt.

Elk hunting in the mountains takes a little more stamina then regular hunting out of tree stands or fields.  You have to be physically fit, ready for long hikes and hunting hard. The better shape that you are in there is a better chance on getting where you need to go to have a good shot and a successful hunt.

Early bow hunting season the Elk are in the rut so they pretty much tell us where they are, so we have a little better chance of getting right into their wheel house.

The best shot to take is the broadside shot, pretty much the recommended shot to take. If you  shot tight behind the shoulder and through both lungs, it pretty much a done deal.  The elk will not got to far and you will have a easy time tracking it.  Loosing an animal is one of the worst things to experience.

Can it get more beautiful then this, just hiking into this area would be special. Who gets to see all this wilderness?
