Bow Hunting Squirrels In October, The Best Time Of Year!

Bow hunting the primitive way has a little more of a challenge to it.  Especially squirrels, they have very quick reaction to any movement or noise.

We do not hunt squirrels but we have a lot of them in our area.  There are a lot of people who do eat them but so far I have never tasted one.

Using his homemade bow and arrows is proving to be  very interesting.  The way that he makes everything is fascinating , takes a lot of precision and care to get everything just right. And practice shots , lots of misses , lots more tries.

But persistence is everything, if you keep trying sooner or later you will become successful.

Making your own arrow gives you a good insight into what the native Americans went through on a daily basis. They must have had people constantly making arrows because of loosing them and breaking them. I’d say it would have been a full time job.
