Choosing The Best Compound Bow For You!

First Thing What Is A Compound Bow?

Compound bows are much more durable then their traditional counterparts made from wood.  Compound bows are made from materials that are less likely to warp from changes in temperature and humidity.  Wood on the other hand can change many times due to their environment.

A Compound bow uses a levering system which consists of cables and pulleys (cam’s) to bend the limbs or ends of the bow. This provides a mechanical advantage to the archer that allow’s him or her to exert as much physical effort when the bow is drawn to the fullest.

The main part of the Compound bow is made from either magnesium, aluminum or a combination of both, making it very strong and light.

Because the bows are so rigid they can add other pieces to them like sights and stabilizers without compromising the performance of the bow.

The arrows that are used are the same as the arrows that are traditionally used for your standard long bow.  They are made from either aluminum or carbon.

Very important to know when you are buying a bow is:

  • Know your options
  • Know your strength
  • Don’t get complicated make it simple

There are some technical issues when choosing your bow:
